I will never pass up an opportunity to head to San Diego, especially when it’s for Jess and Chance! After photographing their one-year vow renewal in Joshua Tree and getting to know their wonderful, creative personalities, I couldn’t WAIT to have them in front of my camera again. Jess and Chance’s San Diego Couples Session at Torrey Pines State Beach

I’m officially advocating for more “day in the life” couples sessions like the one Jess and Chance booked. Instead of planning a curated shoot, they wanted their photos to reflect the beauty and authenticity of their everyday moments. I’m a firm believer that the small moments are just as important as the big ones, so this type of session was completely in line with my brand values. We planned a session that was completely unique to their daily lives in San Diego – a fun beach picnic and skateboarding date at Torrey Pines State Beach!

San Diego has so many beautiful beaches, all of them slightly different from one another (but ALL have the most amazing sunsets!!). It happened to be wildflower season at Torrey Pines, so we were able to enjoy the vibrant blooms for the skateboarding date part of their session!! By the time we hit the beach, the stunning sunset just added to that “California dream life” feeling. I will never not be in awe of how gorgeous this state is, whether you’re in the desert, on the beach, or in the hills. 

A little background on Jess and Chance: They originally met in Florida a good few years ago and decided to move to California (San Diego, specifically) to build their dream life. They’re both entrepreneurs, with Jess running an incredibly successful jewelry business that is SO stunning! They are just such an inspirational example of a couple who chases their dreams, and it’s been an honor connecting with them and captuxring their love story along the way. I can’t wait until the next time they are ready for me to document another chapter in their lives!
